ROBOTICS PROGRAM
As part of our program, which provides students with high-level thinking skills, Mechatronics Lab lessons taught with the 4C method are as follows:
Preschool and 1st grades - LEGO Education
Primary School - Design and Robotics
Secondary School - Robotics Programming
High School - Robotics and Artificial Intelligence
LEGO Education employs 21st century skills and is conducted using the 4C training method (Connect, Construct, Contemplate, Continue).
Our students receive basic robotics training with LEGO Education Mindstrom EV3 robots developed by MIT University.
A robot is an electro-mechanical device capable of performing autonomous or pre-programmed tasks. With their design and programming , robots are works of engineering. Advances in technology have created the need for multidisciplinary work in the field of robotics.
In elementary and middle school, there is a mechatronics engineering program (incorporating mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, and computer engineering) in which students learn about advanced robotics.
In robotics and artificial intellingence lessons in high-school, we aim for our students to reach the basic Python level of PCEP-30-xx defined by the Python Institute.
Our students learn the Python language by practicing it on robotics and artificial intelligence systems. Each student has the opportunity to work with his or her own robot.
Coding and programming training, which starts from the age of 5 and continues until 7th grade, has been prepared for Çakabey under the guidance of Associate Professor Filiz Kalelioğlu, Head of the Department of Information and Teaching Technologies at Başkent University.
We aim to improve our students’ logical thinking, decision making, algorithmic thinking, and problem solving skills with“Computational Thinking”, which means problem solving, decision making, and creating innovative solutions.
